It pairs classroom (8813) function with the ETB trim set, featuring the B lever and J escutcheon design, giving staff reliable keyed control of outside access while maintaining free egress at all times. The integrated Request to Exit (RX) switch provides a monitored signal for access control and alarm systems, making this a smart choice for secured corridors and institutional environments. As a fire rated device, it ships less dogging to meet code requirements for openings that need positive latching.

Features

Grade 1 rated for heavy-duty commercial and institutional use.

Fire rated construction suitable for labeled fire door assemblies.

Classroom (8813) function allows keyed control of the outside lever.

ETB trim with B lever and J escutcheon for a durable, ADA-friendly grip.

Built-in Request to Exit (RX) switch for access control integration.

Sized for doors ranging from 37 to 42 inches in width.

Supplied less dogging to satisfy fire door latching requirements.

Functional Details

The 8813 classroom function keeps the exit device latched from the outside, where the key retracts the latch for momentary entry.
