Featuring Electric Latch Retraction (ELR), this device retracts the latch electronically to allow remote or momentary free entry while maintaining code-compliant egress. The fail safe configuration unlocks the outside lever when power is removed, making it ideal for life-safety and secured perimeter applications. Built for 33 to 36 inch wide doors and supplied less dogging to meet fire-rated requirements, the 8873 trim provides keyed lever access without a cylinder. Operating on 24V, it integrates smoothly into modern electrified door systems.

Features

Fire rated rim exit device suitable for labeled door and frame assemblies.

Electric Latch Retraction (ELR) allows electronic latch pullback for remote access and push/pull operation.

Fail safe operation unlocks the outside lever when power is removed for life-safety compliance.

Designed for doors measuring 33 to 36 inches in width.

Less dogging, as required for fire-rated installations.

8873 ETL lever trim provides outside access without requiring a cylinder.

Operates on 24V DC for compatibility with access control systems.

Functional Details

The Electric Latch Retraction function uses an internal motor to electrically retract the latchbolt, allowing the door to be pushed or pulled freely while energized.
