Engineered with electric latch retraction (ELR), it allows the latch to be retracted electrically for remote operation, free egress, or integration with access control and card reader systems. This configuration features a fail-safe design, meaning a loss of power unlocks the ETB lever trim for secure yet accessible egress. Sized for doors measuring 43 to 48 inches wide, it ships less dogging and without a cylinder, giving installers flexibility for fire door applications where mechanical dogging is prohibited. It runs on 12V power for dependable performance.

Features

Electric latch retraction (ELR) retracts the latch electrically for remote access and controlled entry.

Fail-safe operation unlocks the ETB lever trim when power is removed.

Fire-rated construction suitable for labeled fire door assemblies.

Rim-mounted design for straightforward installation on single or double doors.

Sized for wide openings spanning 43 to 48 inches.

Supplied less dogging, as required for fire-rated applications.

No cylinder included, allowing custom keying to match existing hardware.

Operates on 12V DC power.

Functional Details

Electric latch retraction energizes a motor or solenoid to pull back the latch, enabling push/pull operation and remote unlocking through a building access control system. Because the device is fail-safe, interrupting power automatically unlocks the outside lever trim, ensuring the door can be opened during a power failure. The push bar always allows free egress from the inside.

Arm Type Details

This model uses the ETB lever trim, an escutcheon-style trim with a return lever designed for durability and ADA-compliant operation. When the latch is not retracted, the ETB trim controls outside access and reacts to power state changes per the fail-safe configuration.

Included Components

The device ships as a complete 56-series electrified rim exit device with ETB lever trim and the electric latch retraction module.
