Featuring electric latch retraction (ELR), it allows the latch to be withdrawn electrically for remote access control, momentary unlocking, or integration with automatic operators. Built for doors measuring 43 to 48 inches wide, this device includes the ETJ lever trim with fail safe operation, so the lever unlocks when power is removed. As a fire rated device, it is supplied less dogging to maintain positive latching during a fire event. The 56 prefix indicates electric latch retraction, and it operates on 12V DC.

Features

Electric latch retraction (ELR) enables remote and automated latch control for access control integration.

Fire rated construction provides positive latching and code compliance on fire-rated openings.

Fail safe ETJ lever trim unlocks the lever when power is removed from the device.

Sized for wide doors from 43 to 48 inches in width.

Supplied less dogging, as required for fire rated applications.

Operates on 12V DC for compatibility with low-voltage power supplies.

Furnished without a cylinder to allow use of existing or specified keying.

Functional Details

The electric latch retraction function uses a solenoid to pull the latchbolt into the device, allowing push-pull or free passage operation when energized.
