This exit-only configuration operates purely for egress, with no outside trim or key function required. Designed with the less-cylinder (LC) option, it ships without a cylinder so installers can pair it with their preferred keying system. As part of Sargent's 80 Series, this device delivers Grade 1 performance, smooth push-pad activation, and the durable construction expected for demanding environments where dependable egress is essential.

Features

Rim-mounted exit device engineered for door widths between 43 and 48 inches.

Exit-only function provides free egress without any outside operating trim.

Less-cylinder (LC) design allows field installation of a compatible cylinder.

Part of the Sargent 8800 Series, delivering ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 durability.

The "16" prefix denotes the exit-only (no outside trim) configuration.

Suited for wood or metal doors in commercial, educational, and healthcare settings.

Functional Details

The 16 function is a strictly exit-only device, meaning the push pad releases the latch for egress while the exterior has no trim or key access.
