Engineered with Electric Latch Retraction (ELR), it allows remote unlatching for entry and integration with automatic operators or card readers. The fail-safe design means the ETJ lever unlocks on power loss, supporting safe egress during emergencies. Sized for doors 43 to 48 inches wide and operating on 24V, this device pairs durable construction with hex key dogging for secure mechanical hold-open. Ideal for schools, hospitals, and office buildings, it delivers reliable, code-compliant performance where life safety and controlled access matter most.

Features

Electric Latch Retraction (ELR) retracts the latch remotely for controlled, hands-free access.

Fail-safe operation unlocks the ETJ lever trim when power is lost for safe egress.

Designed for wide doors measuring 43 to 48 inches.

Operates on 24V DC for compatibility with access control systems.

Hex key dogging holds the latch retracted for push/pull functionality.

Grade 1 rim exit device engineered for high-traffic commercial use.

Functional Details

The 8800 series rim device mounts to the surface of the door, with the ELR module electrically retracting the latch to allow momentary or sustained access.
