Designed for doors ranging from 43 to 48 inches wide, this Grade 1 device combines electric latch retraction (ELR) with a fail-safe electrified lever trim, meaning the lever unlocks on power loss to support safe egress and controlled entry. The 24V motorized latch retraction allows smooth, quiet remote dogging and integration with access control systems, while hex key dogging provides mechanical hold-open when needed. With its durable construction and ETP lever trim, this exit device delivers dependable security and reliable daily performance.

Features

Electric latch retraction (ELR) powered by a 24V motor for quiet, remote operation.

Fail-safe design unlocks the lever trim when power is removed, allowing controlled entry during power loss.

Sized for wide doors measuring 43 to 48 inches.

Hex key dogging holds the latch retracted for push/pull operation.

ETP electrified lever trim provides secure outside access control.

Grade 1 rim exit device engineered for demanding commercial environments.

Functional Details

The 56-8873 operates as an electrified rim exit device with motorized latch retraction.
