It combines Electric Latch Retraction (ELR) for remote access control with a fail-safe design, so a loss of power automatically unlocks the ETB lever trim for free egress and reentry. The 56 prefix adds signal switch monitoring, while hex key dogging allows the device to be held in a retracted state for push-pull operation during high-traffic periods. Operating on 24V, this device is ideal for access-controlled entrances, stairwells, and secured corridors where reliable life-safety performance and smooth daily use are both essential.

Features

Grade 1 rim exit device rated for heavy-duty commercial use.

Electric Latch Retraction (ELR) allows remote unlatching through an access control system.

Fail-safe operation unlocks the lever trim automatically when power is removed.

ETB lever trim provides controlled outside access and a comfortable grip.

Sized for doors measuring 37 to 42 inches in width.

Hex key dogging holds the latch retracted for quiet push-pull function.

24V operation for compatibility with standard access control power supplies.

Functional Details

As a fail-safe Electric Latch Retraction device, power applied to the unit retracts the latch for electrified access, and when power is removed the lever trim unlocks to allow entry and egress.
