This Grade 1 device features electric latch retraction (ELR), allowing the latch to be pulled back remotely for momentary or sustained free access, making it ideal for integration with card readers, timers, and building automation systems. Configured for fail secure operation, the lever stays locked on the outside when power is removed, preserving building security during an outage. Sized for 33 to 36 inch wide doors, it includes the ETB lever trim, operates on 12V, and offers hex key dogging for manual latch hold-back when access control is not required.

Features

Electric latch retraction allows remote, momentary, or sustained unlocking for convenient controlled access.

Fail secure design keeps the outside lever locked when power is lost, maintaining security.

Grade 1 rated construction for dependable performance in demanding, high-use environments.

ETB lever trim provides smooth, ADA-compliant outside operation.

Hex key dogging holds the latch retracted for push-pull operation during business hours.

Fits standard 33 to 36 inch wide doors and ships without a cylinder for flexible keying.

Operates on 12V DC for easy integration with existing low-voltage systems.

Functional Details

The 8874 ELR function uses an internal motor to retract the latch bolt electrically, enabling remote release and latch hold-back.
