Featuring electric latch retraction (ELR), this device retracts the latch electronically to allow momentary or sustained free access, making it ideal for integration with card readers, timers, and building automation systems. The fail secure configuration keeps the outside lever locked when power is removed, maintaining security during outages. Designed for doors measuring 33 to 36 inches wide, it includes the ETJ lever trim, operates on 24V, and comes with hex key dogging for mechanical latch hold-back. A durable choice for schools, hospitals, and office buildings.

Features

Electric latch retraction (ELR) allows the latch to be retracted remotely for access control integration.

Fail secure operation keeps the outside lever locked when power is lost, preserving door security.

Sized for doors 33 to 36 inches in width for flexible installation.

Includes the ETJ lever trim for comfortable, code-compliant egress.

Hex key dogging allows the latch to be mechanically held retracted for push/pull operation.

Operates on 24V DC for reliable electrified performance.

No cylinder included, giving you flexibility to specify your preferred keying.

Functional Details

The 8874 ELR function uses an internal motor to retract the latch bolt electronically, permitting authorized free access without manual operation.
