Designed with electric latch retraction (ELR), it allows the latch to be pulled back remotely for momentary or sustained free egress and controlled entry. This fail secure configuration keeps the ETJ lever trim locked when power is off, maintaining security during outages. Equipped for doors between 43 and 48 inches wide and operating on 12V, it features hex key dogging and ships without a cylinder, giving installers flexibility to match existing keying. It's a dependable choice for facilities requiring code-compliant exit hardware with electronic access integration.

Features

Electric latch retraction (ELR) enables remote, momentary, or sustained latch pull-back for touchless egress and controlled access.

Fail secure operation keeps the lever trim locked when power is removed, preserving security during power loss.

Fits door widths ranging from 43 to 48 inches for wide-opening applications.

Operates on 12V for straightforward integration with existing access control systems.

Hex key dogging allows the push bar to be held in the retracted position for push-pull operation.

Supplied without a cylinder, letting you specify your preferred keying.

ETJ lever trim provides durable, ergonomic entry control on the exterior side.

Functional Details

The 8874 function combines electric latch retraction with fail secure lever trim.
