Designed for doors measuring 37 to 42 inches wide and 84 inches in height, it pairs the reliable 8700 series exit mechanism with the ET trim in the J (Jefferson) lever design for storeroom function. The electrified latch retraction (56 option) allows for remote access control and integration with building security systems, while the fire rating ensures compliance in rated openings. Shipped less cylinder and with less dogging (LC), this device offers a dependable, code-compliant egress solution for schools, hospitals, and institutional facilities.

Features

Fire rated surface vertical rod exit device suitable for labeled door assemblies.

Electrified latch retraction (56) supports remote unlocking and access control integration.

Storeroom function keeps the outside lever locked at all times unless retracted electrically or by key.

ET trim with the J (Jefferson) lever design provides a durable, comfortable grip.

Sized for 37–42 inch wide and 84 inch high doors.

Supplied less cylinder (LC), allowing you to match your existing keying system.

Rugged construction suited for high-traffic institutional and commercial environments.

Functional Details

The storeroom (12) function keeps the exterior lever continuously locked, requiring a key or electrified latch retraction to gain entry, while free egress is always available from the inside.
