Designed for doors measuring 33 to 36 inches wide, this unit uses an ET trim control with an L lever and operates on 24VAC/DC power. It is configured as fail safe, meaning that when power is removed the outside lever unlocks to allow entry—an ideal setup for access-controlled and life-safety applications. Hex key dogging holds the pushbar in the depressed position for push/pull operation during high-traffic periods, while the no-cylinder configuration lets you specify your own keying. It ships without a cylinder for installer flexibility.

Features

Grade 1 rated construction for heavy-duty commercial use and long service life.

Fail safe operation unlocks the outside lever when power is removed for secure, code-compliant egress.

24VAC/DC electrified function compatible with common access control systems.

ET control with L lever trim for comfortable, ADA-friendly operation.

Sized for doors from 33 to 36 inches in width.

Hex key dogging allows the device to be held retracted for push/pull use.

Supplied without a cylinder so you can match existing keying.

Functional Details

The 8873-F fail safe configuration keeps the outside lever locked while energized and releases it to the unlocked state when power is interrupted.
