This fail secure unit uses electric latch retraction to pull the latch back on command, allowing remote release and integration with access control systems. It is sized for door widths between 43 and 48 inches and ships less cylinder, giving installers the flexibility to match existing keying. The ETJ lever trim and 12V operation make it a practical choice for retrofit and new construction alike. With hex key dogging and durable Grade 1 construction, it delivers dependable security and smooth daily performance.

Features

Electric latch retraction allows remote unlatching for access control and automatic operator integration.

Fail secure operation keeps the lever locked when power is removed.

Key retracts the latch for authorized manual entry.

Sized to fit door widths from 43 to 48 inches.

Supplied less cylinder so you can match your facility's keying.

Hex key dogging holds the latch retracted for push-pull operation during high-traffic periods.

12V operation for compatibility with common power supplies.

ETJ (J escutcheon) lever trim for comfortable, code-compliant egress.

Functional Details

The 8876 function combines fail secure outside trim control with electric latch retraction.
