The LCN 1261-EDA Surface Door Closer is a heavy-duty, Grade 1 commercial door closer designed for high-traffic and high-abuse environments where durability and reliability are critical. Featuring a reinforced Extra Duty Arm (EDA) with solid forged steel construction, this closer is built to withstand excessive force and demanding use while maintaining smooth, controlled door operation. Designed for push side parallel arm mounting, the 1261-EDA supports up to 120° door swing and includes a non-sized adjustable spring (Size 1–5) for flexibility across interior doors up to 4’6” and exterior doors up to 3’6”. Constructed with a rugged cast aluminum body and all-weather hydraulic fluid, it delivers consistent performance in extreme conditions while meeting ANSI/BHMA A156.4 Grade 1 and UL10C fire safety standards, making it ideal for schools, hospitals, industrial facilities, and other demanding commercial applications.
