Functional Details

The classroom function (8813) keeps the door latched and secure from the exterior, requiring a key to retract the latch and gain entry. The interior lever and push rail remain active for immediate, free egress at any time, supporting life safety requirements. The integrated Request to Exit switch signals an access control or monitoring system whenever the push rail is actuated.

Arm Type Details

This device uses the ET exterior trim with the P lever design. The ET control integrates a keyed cylinder that governs the outside lever, allowing the lever to retract the latch when unlocked and requiring key entry when locked.
