Functional Details

The 55 classroom function operates so that the exit device remains locked or unlocked on the exterior via key control, while the push rail inside always retracts the latch to permit free egress. The 12 prefix adds an electrified request-to-exit signal switch that indicates when the device has been used.

Arm Type Details

This unit uses the ET lever trim style with the P lever design. The ET trim provides key-controlled operation of the outside lever, engaging or disengaging the latch depending on whether the function is locked, while the contoured P lever offers comfortable, accessible grip for everyday use.
