Functional Details

The 56 electric latch retraction function uses a motorized mechanism to retract the latch bolt electrically, allowing the door to be pushed or pulled freely without actuating the pushpad. When power is applied, the latch is held retracted for passage; when power is removed on this fail-safe configuration, the outside lever trim is unlocked, permitting entry while free egress is always maintained from the inside.

Arm Type Details

This device uses ETJ lever trim, a key-in-lever style escutcheon trim with the J lever design. The trim provides controlled outside access and is released or secured based on the device's electrified function, while the inside pushpad always allows immediate egress.
