Functional Details
The passage function (12-8715) allows the door to be pushed or pulled open freely from either side, with the latch retracting whenever the push bar or lever is actuated. There is no locking of the outside trim, ensuring continuous free access while maintaining positive latching on fire-rated doors.
Arm Type Details
As a surface vertical rod device, the top and bottom latch bolts are driven by vertical rods mounted to the door face. Depressing the push bar simultaneously retracts both the top and bottom latch bolts, releasing the door, while spring tension re-engages the bolts into the strikes when the door closes.
