The Sargent 12-8773-F-ETJ-84-12V is a heavy-duty electrified surface vertical rod exit device engineered for demanding commercial and institutional openings. Fire rated and built for doors measuring 33" to 36" wide and up to 84" in height, this device combines reliable panic egress with electrified access control. Operating on 12V DC, it is configured fail safe, meaning the ETJ lever trim unlocks on loss of power to support secure egress and emergency access requirements. Paired with the ETJ escutcheon lever trim, it delivers smooth exterior operation and durable performance in high-traffic environments where life safety and controlled entry both matter.

Functional Details
No Cylinder. 73 Function: Electrified ET Trim - Fail Safe. Power off unlocks the lever; no cylinder is included.
The 12V electrified ETJ trim controls access from the exterior. In the fail safe configuration, removing power unlocks the lever trim, allowing entry during a power loss, while free egress from the interior is always maintained by depressing the push bar.
- Fail safe (12): outside trim is unlocked when de-energized.
- Free egress is maintained at all times from the inside.
- Energized trim is locked, requiring a valid credential or signal to unlock.
Included Components
The device ships with the surface vertical rod exit mechanism, top and bottom latch rods, strikes, and the ETJ escutcheon lever trim with mounting hardware.
