The Sargent 12-8773-G-ETJ-84-24V is an electrified fire rated surface vertical rod exit device engineered for demanding commercial and institutional openings. Functional Details

The 8773 function provides electric latch retraction and fail safe trim control. When energized, the outside lever is locked; when power is interrupted, the trim is released to permit free entry, supporting safe egress and emergency access requirements.

• Fail Safe (unlocked when de-energized): Outside lever continuously locked except when momentarily unlocked by key.
• Key outside unlocks/locks outside lever. When unlocked, lever retracts latch.
• Inside lever always free for immediate egress.

Arm Type Details

This device uses a surface-mounted vertical rod configuration. Depressing the push rail retracts both the top and bottom latch bolts simultaneously, releasing the door while maintaining secure two-point latching when closed.
