The Sargent 12-8773-G-ETL-84-12V is a heavy-duty electrified surface vertical rod exit device engineered for fire-rated openings up to 43-48" wide and 84" tall. Built for Grade 1 commercial performance, it combines dependable panic egress with electrified latch retraction, making it ideal for access-controlled doors in schools, hospitals, and institutional buildings. Configured as fail safe, the device releases on power loss to allow free egress, while the 12V electric latch retraction (ETL) feature works with electronic access systems. The ergonomic G-type lever trim adds a clean, functional finish. This device meets fire rating requirements and delivers long-term reliability under high-traffic conditions.

Functional Details
No Cylinder. 73 Function: Electrified ET Trim - Fail Safe. Power off unlocks the lever; no cylinder is included.
The fail safe electric latch retraction function uses a motorized mechanism to retract the latch bolts when energized, permitting momentary or sustained free access from the outside. On loss of power, the latches release to allow unobstructed egress and entry per fire and life-safety requirements.
