The fail-safe function means the outside lever trim becomes unlocked when power is removed, allowing entry during a power outage while the push rail always permits free egress. Energizing the solenoid locks the outside trim for secure access control.

Arm Type Details

This is a surface vertical rod exit device, which uses top and bottom rods to engage latch points at the head and sill of the door frame. On fire-rated applications the bottom latch provides positive two-point latching required to maintain the fire rating of the opening.
