The Sargent 12-NB-8773-G-ETP-84-12V is a Grade 1 NB8700 top-latching surface vertical rod exit device, less bottom rod for 43 to 48-inch door widths and 84-inch door height. This 12- configuration is fire-rated. It is supplied with ETP electrified trim and the P lever design.
Function 73 is Fail Safe electrified ET trim operation. At 12VDC, power off unlocks the outside lever. The pushbar mechanically retracts the latch for egress independently of the electrical state of the outside trim.
No Cylinder. This function uses no cylinder and is not a less-cylinder preparation requiring a separately purchased cylinder. Cylinder override is not available with NB8700 Series devices.

The 12- prefix identifies the fire-rated configuration. The permitted rating and opening size depend on the listed door material, opening arrangement and complete assembly. Refer to the SARGENT fire-door rating chart; a three-hour rating does not apply automatically to every opening.
