The Sargent 16-8804-F-ETP is a Grade 1 rim exit device built for high-traffic commercial openings on doors measuring 33 to 36 inches wide. Configured with the 8804 night latch function, it allows free egress at all times while the outside ET trim with a P lever provides keyed entry from the exterior. The device features cylinder dogging, which lets authorized users hold the pushbar retracted using a key for push/pull operation during business hours. Supplied with an LA keyway cylinder keyed different, this fire-rated unit delivers dependable security and smooth daily performance in schools, offices, and other institutional settings.

Functional Details
The night latch function provides free egress at all times from the inside, while the outside trim remains locked and requires a key to retract the latch and gain entry. Cylinder dogging uses a key to hold the latch bolt retracted, enabling free passage without unlocking the exit device.
- Cylinder dogging requires a mortise cylinder (not furnished unless specified).
- Dogging retains the latch in the retracted position for push/pull operation.
- Not available on fire-rated devices where dogging is prohibited by code.
Arm Type Details
The ET trim control pairs with a P lever design to provide a comfortable, ADA-compliant grip for keyed access from the exterior. The lever stays rigid when the device is locked and operates the latch only once the cylinder is keyed.
