Functional Details

Electric latch retraction energizes an internal motor or solenoid that withdraws the latch when the device is signaled, enabling remote release and latch control. In the fail-secure (power off locks lever) mode, the outside lever remains locked when power is interrupted, so the door stays secure. Free egress is always available from the inside by pressing the push bar.
