The Sargent 56-8874-J-ETL-24V is a heavy-duty electrified rim exit device built for high-traffic commercial openings that require reliable access control. Designed for doors ranging from 37 to 42 inches wide, this Grade 1 device features Electric Latch Retraction (ELR) powered at 24V, allowing the latch to be electrically withdrawn for remote release, controlled access, and automatic operator integration. The fail-secure configuration keeps the L lever locked during a power outage, maintaining security on the secure side while always permitting free egress. With hex key dogging and no cylinder preparation, it offers a durable, dependable solution for schools, healthcare facilities, and office buildings.
