Sargent 56-NB-8715-F-ETMV-96 Surface Vertical Rod Exit Device, Passage Function, ET Control, MV Lever, Electric Latch Retraction, Hex Key Dogging, Less Bottom Rod, Grade 1, For 33-36" Width, 96" Height Door
The Sargent 56-NB-8715-F-ETMV-96 is an ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 NB8700 Series surface vertical rod exit device with passage-function ETMV lever trim. It is configured for a 33–36-inch door width and a 96-inch door height. The less-bottom-rod design uses a single top latching point without a bottom rod or floor strike. The 56- option provides motor-driven electric latch retraction.
Features
- Single top latching point with less bottom rod construction.
- Passage operation from the outside lever and inside pushpad.
- ETMV trim with the MV lever design.
- ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 construction.
- LHR and RHR configurations are selected through the Handing option.
- Hex key dogging for hold-retracted operation on this non-fire-rated configuration.
- Motor-driven 56- electric latch retraction using a regulated, filtered 24 VDC power supply.
Functional Details
Function 15 is Passage: the outside lever retracts the latch at all times, and the inside pushpad retracts the latch for egress. No cylinder is required for the passage trim. The top latch remains active when the device is released; passage function does not eliminate positive latching. Hex key dogging is specified for this configuration to hold the pushpad and latch retracted for push-pull operation. Applying the specified electrical power retracts the latch through the rail motor; this is electric latch retraction, not an electrically locked ET lever function.
