The Sargent 8273-12V Lock Body Only Electro Mechanical Fail Safe Function is built for applications that need dependable electrified mortise lock performance with a Double Cylinder configuration, 12VDC operation, and Grade 1 durability. As part of the 8200 Series mortise lock line, this lock body is designed for heavy-duty commercial use and offers Feild Reversible handing for added installation flexibility. Functional Details

This electro mechanical fail safe lock body is designed so the outside lever or trim is unlocked when power is removed. In a fail safe setup, the opening defaults to the unlocked state during a power interruption, which is commonly used where free egress and emergency release are required. The double cylinder design adds keyed control on both sides while still using the electrified lock body function for access management.
