Functional Details

The fail secure (F) function controls the outside trim electrically. When energized, the outside lever retracts the latch to allow entry; when power is removed, the outside lever remains locked while egress from the inside stays available at all times.

• Fail secure: outside trim is locked when de-energized.
• Energize to unlock the outside trim for entry.
• Free egress is always available from the inside via the touchbar.

Arm Type Details

This device uses surface-mounted vertical rods that drive top and bottom latch bolts. Depressing the touchbar simultaneously retracts both bolts, releasing the door for egress, while the rods automatically relatch when the door closes.
