Functional Details

In the fail secure (8874-F) mode, the outside ETP lever trim remains locked when de-energized, so loss of power secures the opening. Energizing the device unlocks the outside lever to permit controlled entry, while the push bar always retracts the latch for safe, code-compliant egress from the inside.
