The Sargent NB-8715-F-ETB-96 is a surface-mounted vertical rod exit device engineered for demanding commercial openings up to 96 inches in height. Built for passage function, it provides free entry and exit at all times, making it ideal for high-traffic doors where latching security is not required. This fire-rated (F) device pairs with the ETB trim, featuring the B lever for comfortable operation, and is configured for doors 33 to 36 inches wide. The less bottom rod (LBR) design keeps the floor area clear, reducing maintenance and debris buildup, while hex key dogging allows the device to be held in a retracted position for added convenience.

Functional Details
In passage function, the outside lever and the push bar both retract the latches at all times, allowing free passage from either side. The hex key dogging mechanism lets authorized personnel mechanically hold the push bar depressed, keeping the top latch retracted for continuous push-pull use.

Arm Type Details
As a surface vertical rod device, the NB-8715 drives a top vertical rod that engages a surface strike at the head of the frame. With the less bottom rod option, only the top latch is active, simplifying the hardware while maintaining reliable top-latching performance.
