The Sargent NB-8715-G-ETJ-84 is a Grade 1 surface vertical rod exit device engineered for wide, extra-tall commercial openings measuring 43 to 48 inches in width and up to 84 inches in height. Configured for passage function, it allows free entry and exit at all times, making it ideal for high-traffic areas that do not require locking from the trim side. The device pairs with ET control and the J lever for comfortable, ADA-friendly operation. Hex key dogging lets staff hold the pushbar retracted for push-pull convenience during business hours, while the less bottom rod design simplifies installation and reduces maintenance at floor level.

Functional Details
The passage (exit only) function means the device latches at the top rod while allowing free egress and entry through the outside trim at all times, with no key control required for access.

Arm Type Details
As a surface vertical rod device, the latching mechanism runs vertically along the door face. In the less bottom rod configuration, only the top rod and latch are active, engaging the strike at the head of the frame for secure top-only latching.

Device ships with the ET outside control trim, J lever, top vertical rod assembly, strikes, and mounting hardware. Bottom rod and bottom latch are omitted per the less bottom rod specification.
