The Series RG-27 Vertical Rod and Latch Guards are designed to protect the bottom rods of exit devices from being damaged by carts or gurneys. Damage to these rods can impair the functionality of the exit device, potentially compromising safe egress during emergencies.

Beyond protecting the vertical rods, these guards also provide a smooth, unobstructed surface that facilitates easy door operation, especially beneficial for bumpers of wheelchairs to push the door open. The latch guard portion stands at 10 inches high. Standard models include a 45° ramp, while the extended latch guard features a continuous ramp suitable for doors measuring 3' or 4' wide.

Constructed entirely from stainless steel with a 630 finish, these guards are durable and resistant to corrosion. They are capable of covering latches up to 1 1/4"W x 10"H x 1 7/8" projection, ensuring a broad range of compatibility with different latch sizes.
