The Sargent 12-8715G-84 is a fire rated surface vertical rod exit device built for reliable, code-compliant egress on tall openings. Part of the durable 8700 Series, this exit-only device fits 48" wide doors up to 84" in height and provides top and bottom latching through surface-mounted vertical rods. Configured less trim and less dogging, it delivers push-to-exit operation suitable for fire-rated applications where mechanical dogging is not permitted. Engineered for high-traffic commercial and institutional environments, it offers dependable performance, Grade 1 strength, and the trusted quality that specifiers expect from Sargent exit hardware.

Functional Details

As an exit-only device, the 8715G provides free egress from the inside while remaining locked from the exterior with no outside trim. The push rail retracts the top and bottom latches simultaneously to release the door for immediate exit.
