The Sargent 12-8813-F-ETP is a fire-rated rim exit device built for high-traffic commercial openings that demand reliable egress and controlled entry. Designed for classroom function, it allows outside access through the ET trim with a P lever when the outside cylinder is used, while always permitting free egress from the inside. This Grade 1 device fits doors measuring 33" to 36" in width and comes less dogging, as required for fire-rated applications, and less cylinder for pairing with your preferred keying system. Part of Sargent's 80 Series, it offers the durability and code compliance professionals expect for schools, offices, and institutional buildings.

Functional Details
The classroom function uses the outside cylinder to retract the latch, giving authorized users entry while the device continuously allows unimpeded exit from the inside. Pushing the touchpad retracts the latch for egress at any time.
- Outside lever controlled by key; latchbolt retracted by key or by turning lever when unlocked.
- Key locks or unlocks outside lever.
- When locked, outside lever is rigid; latchbolt is retracted by key only.

Arm Type Details
This unit uses the ET trim design paired with the P lever, providing a durable escutcheon-style exterior trim engineered for institutional environments. The lever remains rigid when locked and operates smoothly when access is granted by key.

The device ships with the rim exit chassis, ET exterior trim with P lever, and mounting hardware. A mortise cylinder is not included and must be ordered separately.
