The Sargent 55-8813-F-ETB is a Grade 1 rim exit device built for demanding commercial openings where secure classroom-style operation and electronic monitoring are required. Designed for doors measuring 33" to 36" wide, this device pairs classroom function with an integrated Request to Exit (REX) switch that signals when the push bar is depressed, making it ideal for access-controlled and monitored openings. It features the ET trim with a B lever design, hex key dogging for easy mechanical hold-back, and is supplied less cylinder to accommodate your preferred keying system. Functional Details

The classroom function with Request to Exit allows controlled entry from the outside using a key, while free egress is always available from the inside. The built-in REX switch monitors push bar activity and communicates with connected access control or alarm systems.
