The Sargent 70-775-8-ETMI-12V is a Grade 1 electrified exit device trim built for use with Sargent 80 Series exit devices. Designed as a 12V fail safe unit, it keeps the opening secure during normal operation while allowing access when power is cut, making it a strong fit for access-controlled openings where safe egress and controlled entry are both priorities. The trim pairs the ET control housing with the MI lever design and accepts a small format interchangeable core (SFIC), shipped less core for field keying flexibility. A key override retracts the latch, giving authorized users reliable mechanical access alongside electrified control.

Functional Details

In a fail safe configuration, the trim lever is unlocked when power is removed, allowing free access, and is locked when power is applied. The outside key cylinder can be used at any time to retract the latch and gain entry.
