The Sargent 70-776-8-ETJ-12V is a Grade 1 electrified exit device trim built for use with Sargent 80 Series exit devices. Operating on 12 volts in a fail secure configuration, this trim keeps the exterior lever locked during a power loss, maintaining building security. It features the J Lever design paired with ET control and comes prepped for a small format interchangeable core (SFIC), shipped less core so you can match your existing keying system. A valid key retracts the latch, allowing authorized mechanical access alongside electrified control, making it a dependable choice for access-controlled openings.

Functional Details

In a fail secure (76) configuration, the outside trim remains locked when power is removed, requiring either a valid credential signal or a key to gain entry. Free egress is always available from the inside through the exit device. The key retracts latch feature allows a mechanical key to withdraw the latch for authorized access independent of the electrified function.

This trim uses the ET (ElectroLynx-compatible) escutcheon control with the J Lever. The J Lever offers a contemporary, ergonomic profile that returns to a neutral position and resists excessive pressure, supporting long-term durability in high-traffic settings.
