Functional Details

In a fail secure configuration, the outside lever or trim remains locked when power is removed. Applying 24V power releases the trim, allowing entry, while removing power secures the opening. The keyed cylinder provides a mechanical means to retract the latch and gain access at any time, independent of electrical power. Free egress is always available from the inside through the exit device.
