Functional Details

The 8715 function provides exit-only operation, meaning the device allows free egress from the inside while the exterior has no operating trim. Pressing the push pad retracts the top and bottom latch bolts simultaneously to open the door.

The hex key dogging mechanism uses a hex key to depress and hold the push pad in the retracted position, keeping the latches held open for continuous push-pull traffic.
