The Sargent 8715J-84 is a surface vertical rod exit device built for reliable, high-traffic commercial applications. Designed for exit-only service, it provides a secure means of egress without requiring outside trim, making it ideal for doors that only need free exit from the inside. This model fits 84" door heights and comes in a 42" device size to accommodate wider openings. The included hex key dogging lets staff hold the pushbar retracted for push/pull operation during busy hours. Functional Details

As an exit-only device, the 8715J functions strictly for egress. Depressing the pushbar retracts the top and bottom latch bolts simultaneously, allowing the door to open freely from the secure side. With no outside trim, re-entry is not provided. The hex key dogging feature lets authorized personnel mechanically hold the latches retracted so the door can be used in a push/pull mode during peak traffic.
