The Sargent 8813-F-ETMD is a Grade 1 rim exit device engineered for classroom applications where secure, reliable egress is essential. In classroom (F) function, the outside lever is locked or unlocked by key, while free egress is always available from the inside. Hex key dogging allows the push bar to be held in the retracted position for push/pull operation during high-traffic periods. Shipped less cylinder for field cylinder selection.

Functional Details

The classroom function (F) lets staff control access from the secure side using a key, while building occupants can always exit freely by pressing the push bar. The ET trim uses the MD lever to retract the latch when unlocked.

Arm Type Details

This device uses rim-mounted exit hardware with the ET control and MD lever trim on the outside. The push pad actuates the rim latch for exit, while the exterior lever provides keyed entry control consistent with classroom operation.
