Designed for doors measuring 37 to 42 inches wide, this device includes the PTB thumbpiece trim and operates in the 8800 series classroom configuration, allowing authorized key control of outside access while maintaining free egress at all times. The reversible design simplifies installation on either hand of door, and hex key dogging lets staff hold the latch retracted for push-pull operation during high-traffic periods. Supplied less cylinder, it accepts a standard mortise cylinder to match your facility's keying system.

Functional Details

The classroom function (08) lets the outside thumbpiece retract the latch unless locked by a key from the outside cylinder. Egress through the device is always free, meeting life-safety requirements.
