The Sargent 8974-G-ETB-24V is a Grade 1 electrified mortise exit device engineered for secure access control on doors measuring 43 to 48 inches wide. Built around an electrified ET trim operating at 24V in a fail secure configuration, it keeps the outside lever locked when power is removed, so access stays restricted during a power loss while free egress is always maintained from the inside. The device features the B lever design and ETB control trim, along with hex key dogging for convenient retraction in low-security periods. No Cylinder: this configuration has no cylinder override and does not require an override cylinder.

Functional Details

This 24V DC electrified ET trim operates in fail secure mode. With power removed, the outside lever is locked. Applying power unlocks the outside lever. When unlocked, turning the outside lever retracts the mortise latch. Operating the inside push rail permits egress regardless of the electrical state of the trim. No Cylinder: this configuration has no cylinder override and does not require an override cylinder.

Trim and Lever Details

The ET trim has a B lever. Electrical power controls whether the outside lever is locked or unlocked; operating an unlocked lever retracts the latch. Select the LHR or RHR handing to suit the opening.
