Functional Details

The 56 electric latch retraction function uses an internal motor to retract the latch electrically, enabling momentary or sustained hands-free operation when tied into a card reader, push button, or automatic operator. As a fail safe (F) device, removing power unlocks the outside ETB lever trim, permitting entry while free egress is always maintained from the push-bar side.
