Functional Details

This device uses electric latch retraction to pull the latchbolt back electrically, enabling momentary or sustained hands-free access when energized. As a fail safe (56) configuration, removing power automatically unlocks the outside lever to allow free entry, while the exit device always permits free egress from the secure side.

Arm Type Details

The ETJ outside trim uses the J escutcheon design paired with a lever handle, providing controlled access from the exterior. When the latch is retracted or the lever is unlocked, the trim allows pull-side entry while maintaining positive latching on fire-rated openings.
