Functional Details

The electric latch retraction function uses a solenoid or motor to pull the latch back electrically, allowing free passage without mechanical actuation of the pushbar. When power is removed in this fail secure configuration, outside access is locked while egress from the inside always remains available via the pushbar. Keyed access from the outside retracts the latch mechanically.
