The Sargent LC-12-56-8876-F-ETP-12V is a fire rated rim exit device engineered for high-traffic openings that require electrified access control. Built around the proven 80 Series platform, this fail secure unit uses electric latch retraction to hold the latch open for remote entry, momentary access, or integration with card readers and automatic operators. It fits doors measuring 33 to 36 inches wide and includes the ETP escutcheon trim with a lever for controlled exterior access. Supplied less cylinder and less dogging, it allows you to specify your preferred mortise cylinder while meeting the requirements of fire rated openings where mechanical dogging is not permitted.

Functional Details

The fail secure electric latch retraction function electrically withdraws the latch bolt to allow free entry from the exterior without using the key. On loss of power, the device returns to a secure state, keeping the outside lever locked while free egress is always maintained from the inside. The exterior ETP lever is controlled by the key or electrified retraction cycle.
