Functional Details

This device uses electric latch retraction to pull the latchbolt back electrically, letting the opening be released remotely through an access control system, card reader, or push button. In the fail secure configuration, removing power automatically relocks the outside lever, so the door stays secure during a power loss while free egress is always maintained from the inside.

Arm Type Details

This unit is furnished with the ETB exit trim featuring the G lever style. The ETB trim provides lever-controlled entry from the exterior when the latch is not electrically retracted, and the lever remains locked under the fail secure mode when power is removed.

The device ships as the 8876 fire rated rim exit chassis with ETB-G trim and the 56 electric latch retraction option configured for 24V operation. A cylinder is not included and must be ordered separately. Dogging is omitted per fire-rated requirements.
